Terms & Conditions
Effective September 7, 2026 ยท Version 2026-09-07
These Terms govern your use of Happenster. By creating an account, purchasing or claiming a ticket, or publishing an event, you agree to them. Organizers also give explicit assent to the version shown above when they publish an event. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
1. Using Happenster
Happenster is an event discovery, ticketing, check-in, and distribution platform available to users aged 13 and over. You must provide accurate information and protect your account. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.
You may not use Happenster unlawfully, fraudulently, to impersonate or harass another person, to interfere with the platform, or to infringe another person's rights.
2. Happenster Materials and Branding
Happenster and its licensors own the platform software, Happenster-created visual design, interface elements, original copy, event taxonomy, databases as organized by Happenster, and Happenster names, logos, and branding. These Terms give you only the limited right to use the platform as intended; they do not transfer ownership.
Event descriptions, photos, logos, trademarks, and provider materials supplied by organizers, attendees, venues, or third-party services remain owned by their respective owners. Happenster does not claim ownership of that material merely because it appears on the platform.
3. Content You Submit
You keep ownership of content you submit. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit it and to grant the license below, including permissions for photographs, music, trademarks, venue details, and information about other people.
You grant Happenster a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, resize, adapt, display, promote, and distribute your content only as needed to operate Happenster, present your event, communicate with attendees, create search and social previews, and distribute the event through providers or channels you approve. This license lasts while the content is hosted and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, legal compliance, and completed transactions.
Attendees likewise keep ownership of reviews, support messages, and other content they submit, while granting Happenster the limited license needed to display, moderate, and operate those features.
4. Automated Use, AI Training, and Competitive Reuse
Public availability is not a license for bulk use. Unless Happenster gives prior written permission, you may not use bots, scrapers, crawlers, scripts, or similar means to:
- bulk collect, extract, index, monitor, download, or create a dataset from Happenster content;
- train, fine-tune, ground, benchmark, evaluate, or improve an AI or machine-learning system;
- republish event listings or platform materials in a competing product or substitute service;
- build profiles, directories, lead lists, or derived databases from platform content; or
- bypass rate limits, authentication, robots instructions, access controls, or other safeguards.
These restrictions do not prohibit ordinary search-engine indexing, social link previews, organizer-authorized embeds, personal non-commercial browsing, or distribution to providers selected or approved by an organizer. Those permitted uses must still respect applicable technical instructions and third-party rights.
We do not promise that public content cannot be copied. We may investigate suspected abuse, limit or block access, remove content, suspend accounts, or pursue other remedies available under these Terms and applicable law.
5. Age-Restricted Events
If you provide a date of birth, you confirm it is accurate. Misrepresenting or changing it to bypass an age restriction may result in suspension. Happenster's software age gate is a deterrent, not physical identity verification.
6. Organizer Responsibilities
Organizers must provide accurate event and ticket information, honor valid tickets, maintain required licenses and permissions, follow applicable laws, and manage venue safety and admission. They must not submit content that is deceptive, unlawful, or infringes another person's rights.
When an organizer chooses an external provider or manually copies channel content, that organizer authorizes the necessary transfer and remains responsible for complying with the provider's terms. Happenster may remove listings or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
7. Tickets, Payments, and Event Changes
Happenster checkout uses Stripe to process card payments. When a listing sends you to an external ticket provider, that provider processes the purchase under its own terms. Ticket prices are set by organizers or the external provider, and Happenster may show a service fee before a Happenster purchase. Refund eligibility depends on the displayed event policy and applicable law. Event cancellation, postponement, venue changes, and other organizer decisions may affect ticket use.
8. Copyright and Trademark Reports
To report material that you believe infringes your copyright or trademark, use the Help Desk. Include your contact information; identification of the protected work or mark; the exact event, page, or URL at issue; an explanation of your rights and the alleged infringement; and a statement that the report is accurate and made in good faith. Include proof of authority if you report for someone else.
We may ask for additional information, notify the submitting user, restrict access while reviewing a report, or decline incomplete or unsupported reports. This process does not replace any formal notice process required by applicable law.
9. Disclaimers and Liability
Events are organized by third parties, and Happenster does not guarantee that an event, organizer, attendee, venue, external provider, or public listing will meet your expectations. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Happenster is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from platform use. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
10. Changes and Acceptance Records
We identify each Terms version by its effective date. When we make material changes, we may provide email or in-app notice and request new assent where appropriate. For actions that require explicit assent, such as organizer publication, we record the accepted version, account identifier, and acceptance time. Continued use alone may not replace explicit assent where applicable law requires it.
